Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

We had a great experience here. Stopped in for a quick bite to get off Glenwood during 5 o'clock traffic. We ordered three different slices and all were fresh and hot. The service was both friendly and accommodating without being overly-attentive. We will be back!

Love this place! Their Philly cheese steak is a staple and their New York style pizza is delicious! They also have TVs to watch the game on and a decent selection of taps and wines. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!

One of the driest, lack luster, flavorless Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches I have ever had. Hardly any cheese, so the meat was dry as a bone! I was looking forward to trying the Philly here for weeks. What a disappointment. The Italian place down the road makes a much better Philly! On a positive note the fries were good. But We won't return.

**two-star dive** I've given this place a few sincere tries over the last few years and honestly have no clue how they can garner enough profit to stay open. The service is beyond slow; from the first appearance for even a drink order (average wait has been 10 min) to the food appearance (about an hour for a sandwich and fries) through the check (could be another 45 minutes-hour) and then the running of the card- possible half hour for that. I always feel a time warp of waste here. A true New Yorker would gag on the enormity of time needed to deal with eating here; nevermind the food is pathetically prepared. Dont get me started on the Philly...just don't; it would be a long complaint telling of the inadequacies. I make a better Philly at home with lunchmeat. Personally, the servers have never been rude to me; but I've never been rude to them (which may account for why we see other reviewers getting their own attitude back). Which is why I gave an extra star. They are usually apologetic; but that's not an excuse to continue slow service. They've never been 'busy' when I've visited. Between the very slow (two hours average for a sandwich and fries and a singlular slice of pizza) service and the very mediocre/ pathetic food (but edible), I don't recommend this restaurant.

We moved near Richie's about 2 years ago and it's become one of our favorite go to spots for grabbing a quick hot sandwich, pizza, calzone or just a beer. It's not elegant, but fully functional, clean, friendly and the food is great. There's usually decent music playing and a few TV's going. Pool tables and darts are also available. Give it a try!

Their pizza is huge and pretty good. I usually am not a big fan of thin crust pizza but it was pretty good. Also their Philly cheesesteak was pretty good. Not the best in the world. But prob one of the best cheesesteaks in boise.

It's under new management, and they've changed enough that I do not recommend returning. There's no more mixed Italian sandwich (which was great). Now sandwiches are ~$10-11 for a "12" (actually more like 9-10") and they are only a little better than Subway. Slices are quite good, but a little pricey. You don't order at the counter any more; you're supposed to sit down...strikes me as a shakedown for a tip. Pizza prices are high (~$24 for a large combo). They've also got some different Indian dishes going on, so it's unclear exactly what they are trying to be. There's plenty of better pizza places in town, so I'd avoid this one. I would be surprised if they're in business in a year, unfortunately.

Had a philly and was delicious! Great place, will definitely try pizza the next time..

The first chease steak was great.. But since then.. the quality and taste has been inconsistant. Pizza a thin crust NY style with good flavor. Cost was more expensive and the taste was not as good as Guidos.. now the kicker from 3 to 2 stars.. I had bought 3 groupon style coupons and when I redeemed my third coupon a lady accused me of trying to use an already redeemed voucher. I let her know that this was the last of my three coupons and she should check her records. She brings out a note book which has manually drawn lines indicating a used coupon; great book keeping methods.. she also notes that only 2 of the 3 had a confirmation from the coupon company that it had been used. At that point she says that she is taking my word that the coupon was valid.. It was as if she didnt believe and wanted to try to give me a guilt trip because she could not prove it was no valid.. The coupon was legit, and that attitude has prevented me from going back.

Well, after much hype on Yelp, I had to say I was a little disappointed. The service was great and the delivery guy was way beyond friendly, so it's not for lack of trying. However, the pizza just wasn't what I imagined. It may, in fact, be the hype that had our expectations up so high. The pizza was definitely NY-style: broad, flat pieces with a nice, chewy (almost a little crispy... and I mean that in a good way) crust. The sauce was minimal and the cheese didn't overdo it. This was for a family function, so we got the large veggie combo (no olives and half mushrooms... sadly, this resulted in no mushrooms for anyone, an error on their part), the large supreme (lots of meats and veggies... we opted to add meatballs, which were flavorless wads of meat; however, the sausage was awesome), and a pepperoni pizza (none of us liked the flavor of the pepperoni, oddly enough). So, there you go, a nice effort and definitely palatable, but just not our style at all. It was weird to say that the cheese pizza was probably the best of the three. They also brought us some little containers of what seemed to be a very spicy, roasted red pepper aioli. Another nice touch, but poorly executed. It tasted too much of mayonnaise, which was kind of a turn off. I really liked the idea, presumably served to dip our crust in, but it was too rich and my pregnant wife worried that it could have been truly house made, which would mean uncooked or unpasteurized egg whites. I'm not saying you shouldn't try it. Rather, give it a try and see if this place is for you. I will agree with other Yelpers who said something to the effect of: "Goddamn, this place is expensive!" Final odd note: the driver said that he was happy to deliver to us (West Bench from their location in Garden City), but we should think about adding more to the tip. I'm not used to tipping drivers high, because they are just doing their job. Waiters / waitresses get tipped more, relative to the cost of the meal, because it actually means more work for them. Regardless, I tipped around 15% for $80 worth of pizza, and was kind of taken aback that he would suggest I tip more. Maybe I misunderstood him.

I've eaten here twice now and very much enjoyed the food and service. The cheese pizza is absolutely delicious. The sauce is not that over-sweet ketchupy tomato sauce you find at other places. This sauce is subtly seasoned and very tasty. Then they put exactly the right amount of cheese on top of the sauce - and then add some lovely herbs. It tastes like they make everything from scratch but we haven't confirmed that with the staff. The server today was apologetic that it took 20 minutes to make the pizza - which seems very reasonable to me! She even gave my husband a free cookie because he had to wait. And since there was a football game on in the restaurant, my husband had no problems waiting. We also got an italian side salad, which is a nice blend of lettuces, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, mozzarella, mushrooms, and olives. The first time we ordered the salad, it came already dressed. The salad dressing is yummy but is pungent and strongly flavored, so I highly recommend you order it on the side and dress your salad to your own taste. The cheese pizza was HUGE, and at $18.50 was very reasonably priced with 8 giant slices. The individual cheese pizza slices are a great value at $2.50 each and would be great as a lunch item. The staff was awesome both times we visited. We will *definitely* be visiting again. Yummy.

I love their salads and white pizza. Tonight I had their cheese steak for the first time and it was delicious! Currently under construction, but in March they are teaming with Kilted Dragon and will be offering more beers and take-a-way growlers! Always very friendly staff. The wait can be longer than you might think for this type of place, but I've never been disappointed with taste.

I always tell people to go here for Philly cheese steak because it was awesome! But today I stopped in for a quick sandwich and I was very disappointed. Not the same! And the service was.... Well lets just say their was none! In fact it was kinda of a weird experience. Is this a bar or a restaurant? Pool table next to where we are eating and having conversation? The only good thing about my stop today was they still have the original sauce that you put on the cheese steak....... Not coming back. And I can no longer recommend this place. Looking for a new cheese steak place. :(

New York Richie's is one of the best spots to eat pizza and just chill, I order the Philly and sometimes the daily slice with nice crisp fries straight from the deep fryer, I love this place! Staff here are so accommodating, and you can tell they take a lot of pride in weeks at they do!!

Two words.....Not Impressed. We ordered some sandwiches n pizzas for bunch of us hanging out one night at my buddies shop. I'm sorry but I was pissed that I spent over $100 for a bunch of tasteless garbage. we couldn't give it away and 80% of it went in the garbage. I won't ever be back.

Read this article. It will save you time and money. OK here we are July 15th 2014. Web site still shows sandwiches around $6.98 They had told us "we are going to change prices on the Web page In a week or two" This was to reflect the real price of the food. You see the Web site says one price to get you in the store, but the real price of the sandwiches are double. And are not worth the price, even if they where free. Not only do they have terrible food, terrible service but they are flat out liars. Apparently we have to be careful what we say and the pictures we post on Yelp. I guess they don't care about the freedom of speech . The reason I say this is because I posted a picture of a sandwich they serve exactly the way they serve it. Its the picture of the little tiny pastrami sandwich on the white plate in their picture section. I also posted a picture of a real pastrami sandwich the way it is served from a different sandwich shop. It's the big sandwich on a white paper. So a complaint to Yelp, and Yelp took out the pictures of their food. Beware of this place. The website pricing is not the price you will pay once your there. They are almost double the price per sandwich. They said they were going to change the Web prices in a couple of weeks.... That was a month ago... 4/20/2014 You be the judge. 6/24/2014 OK here we go again. The Web page is still the same as it was a couple of months ago. I think they use it to get you in the door.... And then you find out the real prices. Check out the new picture I posted of a real hot pastrami sandwich from Cobby's down on Chinden. $8.00 plus tax. With a bag of potato chips and an apple.

Since they got new management, this is a great little place. You get what you pay for- huge piece of pizza for $3 and if you are feeling really hungry a big calzone for just under $6. Don't expect a fancy restaurant, IT'S A PIZZA/ PHILLY JOINT...but it is the perfect spot to just chill and watch tv.
(4)Mario E.
1 word. Awful. The food you get for the price not worth it. I do not remember the prices being this high. Food taste is ok, but the quantity for the price is no where near what you would expect. We were here at 12pm and there were 5 people in the place that holds well over a 100. Stay away.

NY Richie's is now under new ownership. I am new to town so I cannot speak on the restaurant in the past, but the reviews make is sound like terrible service. I can ASSURE you, this is no longer the case. The new owner, Raj, is incredibly friendly. He was working to install more Giant flat screen tvs when I walked in. We struck up a conservation, which had to be cut short once I was served some of the Most Delicious NY style pizza I've had outside of NY. $3 for a giant slice of exactly what you are craving. So good. The staff is very friendly and promptly brought the food out. It was piping hot and I couldn't stop eating the pizza. I also tried a calzone that was around $6 and packed with four toppings of your choice. The calzone was beastly in terms of size. Great selection of beers on tap. The place has a pool table, dart boards, arcade games, and 6 or so giant tvs with sports always on. A+++ to the new owner and his transformation of the place.

We have passed this place many times in the past year and my wife and I were in Boise so figured we would give it a try. Read my other reviews... I'm a Native New Jerseyan and am always on the lookout for New York Style food! The place was very clean but sparse of any decor other the local beer and wine stuff. I have a feeling the owner has a vested interest in the beer he advertises in the place. My wife ordered a "Reuben" and I got a "Philly Cheesesteak" (note the quotation marks) and a slice of plain pizza ("Just cheese," asked the waitress? "Yes," said I). I wanted the slice first, before the sandwich, but everything came at once. That's ok. The pizza wasn't hot. The crust was good and I liked the texture. For me, not ultra thin and not thick. A little chewy. But that's all I can really say about the pizza that's New York-ish. I'm not sure where the sauce was. I saw little bits of red under the cheese, but not much. AND the cheese was not quite right. I think it was a provolone/mozzarella combination, or maybe fat free or something. There was no grease and just bland. AND there was a bit much of it. My wife's "Reuben" was interesting. Admittedly she didn't read the menu description, since a standard Reuben is Corned Beef, Swiss Cheese, Sauerkraut and Russian Dressing (or mustard) on Rye. We expected it to be on a sub roll, but what we got (and was described in the menu when we looked again) was turkey (?), pastrami (acceptable alternative, but then you would call it a pastrami sandwich), the mozzarella/provolone tasting combo or cheese, a little sauerkraut and I think diced pickles (?). She said it was bland and she had to douse it with ketchup to eat it. There was more turkey than pastrami in it and she thought she was given the wrong sandwich. I had to go to the counter to make sure it was right. The wait staff was nonchalant and made no effort to offer an alternative. Both sandwiches were served with "Beer Battered Fries" which were good, but over seasoned and I don't know if they had a batter on them or not. My "Philly Cheesesteak". Wow. Bland. No flavor. It was like any trace of onion, peppers, mushroom was pre-cooked and thrown onto the grill with the "shaved rib eye" and then overloaded with that famous mozzarella/provolone combination. I've gotten WAY better on the Jersey Shore at Seaside Heights at a seasonal stand. So the kicker was when we finally got the check, I asked the waitress if there was really a guy named Richie who owned the place and if he is from New York. She didn't know. She thinks a guy named Richie owns the place but wasn't sure. I kindly explained what was wrong with the food (everything I wrote above) and she seemed sympathetic, but not really caring. I even mentioned a TRUE cheesesteak has Cheese Wiz on it... maybe Velveeta in a pinch. She said they try to keep Cheese Whiz on demand, but it would have been nice to have known that. She jokingly said I should bring my own Cheese Whiz next time. So my assessment is there is no Richie, no one involved is from New York (and may have never been there), and no one working there cares about authenticity. Overpriced, undervalued. Go to Guido's or Messenger for pizza. Go to Blimpie for a better sub. Buy a pack of Steak Umms, Cheese Whiz and the veggies and make your own cheesesteak. Stay far away from "New York" "Richies"

Save your money and frustration. If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. The web site prices don't match the store prices and they are not willing to make it right. For some unknown reason you can no longer order a half sandwich without being forced to order a side. Half sandwich and side $10.95. Whole sandwich, same price. When asked about this I was told that this is the way it is, period. Meat is good but you can get Boar's Head in lots of places. This place is obviously having issues and the customers are paying for it. The sandwiches are much smaller than before. Way less meat. The wait staff was rude when I asked about the price differences and the manager is ever ruder. No way to run a business! ! Deli George sandwiches put these to shame and for less money. Too bad they aren't closer.

Very good pizza; probably my favorite crust in town. More chew than Guidos, more flavor than Wiseguys. I like the dusting of Italian herbs and the fact that they use good, big slices of pepperoni not the usual food service pepperoni. More like what Lulus uses. Sandwiches have all been excellent. Richie's sauce (prob. Ranch w chopped Italians peppers) rules. Solid selection of beers. People there are always kind and helpful.

We went in to get a take and bake pizza because on a big sign on the building it says they have take and bake. The guy who helped us did not listen and then it took forever to get our pizza, I asked if they were cooking it - which they were. He said they no longer had take and bake service, even though it says so on a huge sign on the building. Then a gal who was cooking said that they do have take and bake service? We then got the pizza home and it was terrible. Worst pizza I have ever tasted. Tons of oregano sprinkled on the pizza. Nobody would eat it and we were out 20 dollars. The meno was also bizarre. Instead of printing up new menus, they had crossed out many items with black marker. How hard would it be to type up a menu on the computer and print them out. Even a word doc on typing paper would have looked better. All in all - not a good experience. We will go back to Guidos, just around the corner and down the road a mile or so. Super disappointed!

Horrible experience. Had friends that came here before where the ordering experience was simply: come in, order, sit down and they would bring you your food. Now, they've changed to a sitdown style restaurant. Came in here and sat down for over five minutes and no one said hello, asked us for order, or even acknowledged our presence. My party ended up leaving without even being acknowledged by the restaurant. Too bad... As they will never have my business.

Firmly two-and-a-half stars, with an upgrade to three because I found it a little better than the two stars I normally give for overpriced mediocrity. First off, I've never been a Philly cheesesteak kind of guy. So I can't offer up an opinion here. Maybe it is really good here, but I wouldn't know. What I do know is that the entire menu is too expensive. I gently cringed when I first scrolled down it to investigate my options. If you're serving anything close to NY-style pies around Boise, you're going to have to deal with the "Guido's factor" in terms of both quality and pricing. Richie's offers either 20" thin crust or 16" Sicilian (which I didn't try). While Guido's wants $12 for a 20" cheese pizza and $13.50 for a pepperoni, Richie's wants $16.50 and $20.50 respectively. $4 extra to just add pepperoni?! Really? You would hope that it would be thick-cut pepperoni at that price, but it's just the ultra-thin kind you normally get. I got a slice of pepperoni and their meat/veggie combo. My slices were a little less dense than what I get at Guido's when it came to cheese. But they packed on the toppings a little more. That said, I was still disappointed in the variety of vegetables on my combo slice. They threw a ton of tomatoes on top but skimped out on everything else. I liked the taste of the crust, though the sides of it jutted out further into the toppings realm than I would've liked. The verdict? Somewhere between OK and good, and a little different than what I typically get or expect from a NY-style pie. I'd still rather have Guido's and also take advantage of their comparative value. I tried their Italian sub as well, which appeared to be a foot long. The bread was just meh to me. I forgot to ask where they get it from. Maybe from Pastry Perfection next door, which Uncle Giuseppe's up further on Glenwood uses. Even if that's the case, I'm guessing the recipes are different as I like the taste of Giuseppe's more. I was content with the amount of meat and toppings put in there. But again, they charge too much. $9 for all of their sandwiches. Uncle Giusppe's does it better, jams a little more meat and toppings in there, and charges $6.50 for nearly all of their foot-longs sans one. Richie's offers up some of that good Boar's Head meat, but not to the extent of Giuseppe's. The sweet potato fries were below average. It's like they just bought some from the grocery store and brought them over. I think they were cooked a little too long. I like my regular fries to be crispy, but not for sweet potato. And the texture was pretty bad, really gritty and almost like sandpaper. I never thought I'd see the day where I couldn't finish off an order of sweet potato fries, but that day did arrive. I asked if they hand-cut their regular fries, but the woman behind the counter said "no." The beer pricing is odd. $3.25 for a bottle of your typical American macrobrew swill (yikes!) but only a quarter more for better options like Deschutes Black Butte. That's an extra quarter well spent! In essence, while the food was alright for the most part, I have absolutely no reason to come back here when I can get better and cheaper versions of Richie's offerings elsewhere (one of whom is not more than a mile away). And the prices need to come down here, period.
(3)Chris W.
I love this place for pizza. I have never taken the time to sit and eat there. We always do carry out at this place. There are a tiny bit $ for a pizza but after eating it I fell better about the price. I think you should give this place a try.

On the recommendation of a friend who knew I loved Philly Cheesesteaks, Cindi and I ate at the New York Richie's in Enterprise, Oregon a few years ago. My friend was right - the cheesesteaks were among the best we've had outside of Philly and New York, and we were disappointed to find the next time we visited Enterprise that New York Richie's had closed that location. So you can imagine my excitement when Cindi called me on the way home from work one evening a few weeks ago to tell me there was a New York Richie's sign at the old Round Table / Atza pizza location on Glenwood Street across from Hawks Stadium. According to some posts on the Oregon New York Richie's Facebook page, there was no business connection between the Idaho and Oregon New York Richie's locations, but the food would be the same. We stopped in today, their second day of business, to see just how close the food came to what we had enjoyed so much in Enterprise. I'm happy to report that we were not disappointed. The cheesesteaks were as good as we remembered - the meat was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of grilled onions, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, and Swiss and provolone cheeses. The bread was fresh and chewy, as good as we've had in Philly, if a little smaller in diameter than authentic Philly steaks. The fries were crispy and well seasoned, and included Richie's trademark chipotle fry sauce. While we were eating, we saw a monster 20" thin crust cheese pizza make its way to the next table, and made a mental note that we had to try the pizza on our next visit. Our only disappointments: First, the price. At $8.95 for a sandwich with no fries, Richie's is charging $2-3 more than Philly prices for their steaks. (In fairness, the pizza prices seemed very reasonable, starting at $16.50 for the 20" cheese pizza.) Secondly, any place that claims to serve genuine Philly cheesesteaks needs to have Cheez Whiz available as a topping option. But all in all, we're happy as can be to finally have a real cheesesteak available in Boise.

First impression when I walked in was that it was clean. The lady behind the register was very friendly. The pizza was fantastic, go here you will not regret it!!!

Friendy staff, good pizza, inexpensive beer, a few oudoor tables...and pizza by the slice available anytime.
